Fox's shots from Angkor temples - Dec 2

Retaliation for the monkey comment.

The designs on the stones are truly beyond belief. I cannot fathom the work it took to create this enormous temple complex. It defies my wildest imagination. There is barely a stone anywhere that hasn't been intricicately decorated with some pattern or design or an entire scene of daily life.

Focus

There are trees growing on top of many of Ta Phrom structures which has yet to be restored, though we saw work happening there today! The trees roots do not grow deep into the ground, they have a shallow root system.

This should give you an idea of the size of the tree as those are simply some of its roots.

see the wheels?

The roots eventually envelope entire statues or structures, causing some to crumble under the weight.

If you haven't yet been to Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat and the rest of Angkor Archealogical Park, then you should really change that. Hop on a plane and fly to Cambodia, you won't regret it. PS it's a photographer's dream!
