Angkor day 2 - Fox's view

Today was a perfect day. We hired a car and driver for the day and explored some temples and carvings a little further out of town. We cruised in air-conditioned bliss.

This is a shot from Preah Kahn, an enormous temple where you could look down a 'hallway' of sorts and it just went on and on. I wasn't able to capture any decent shots except this one, my point and shoot camera wasn't up for the task.

This shot is from an unplanned stop on our intinerary and I don't know the name of the temple. Great views from the top.
Kiwi climbing the incredibly steep steps up the unkown temple.

Can you spot Kiwi? He's standing in an entry to the left of the main entrance.

This is Banteay Srei, a temple 30km from Siem Reap. It's unique pink coloured stones and incredible stone carvings made it a favourite stop of mine.

Spot the elephant?

This is the trail up to Kbal Spean (river of a thousand lingas). It's a carved riverbed about 2km up a hillside in the jungle. A most pleasant walk up to the river and a very rewarding sight, carved rocks IN the river itself! Kiwi's photos will show this in more detail. A refreshing visit and a great break from the hot temples.
