Practically deserted, we had the place to ourselves.
We've been reading a lot of books lately with the bus rides, train rides, rainy weather and beach time. What a sweet luxury, we're not taking it for granted.
When we arrived at our guesthouse, a wrinkled, old Vietnamese man with a cigarette dangling from his mouth handed me a roll of toilet paper and the key to our room. I thought we were in for a rude awakening. I was dead wrong, we had a blast, met some great people, drank some cheap beer and slept like babies in our $7/night room. The communal dinner at $2.50/person was tasty and entertaining. We also have a new drinking game to introduce to our Canadian friends when we return home.
